How to run a 6:2 rotation

this is a picture of 5:1 rotation not 6:2!!

Lets start with serve receive.

All players in front row stay at the net. Once the server serves, position 2 and 4 moves back to the 3 metre line to receive balls that are in front row.

notice!! balls that are goes in backrow let backrow player receive. If the ball slightly goes over the front row player's head, if they say mine let them get it, if not then it is position 6,5 and 1's job to do so.

During service position 1 and 5 stay at the 3 metre line, when the server serves players move back to the blue line.

For position 6, they stay at the blue line and move back to the yellow line after service.

it is important that players communicate for a smoother gameplay!!

when does setter stack during serve receive?

In a 6:2 rotation, there are 2 setters. One starts at position 3 while the other starts at 6. When the backrow setter is at position one, front row stack outside (stack diagonally). Similarly, if they are at position 5, setter stacks opposite (stack diagonally). The only time setter doesn't stack is when the backrow setter is at position 6. This basically means setter stays at the net and handle the second contact like usual.

Now let's move onto rotation

BASE: all front row players stay at the net, position 1 and 5 at the 3 meter line, 6 at blue line

setter rotation

setter has 3 rotations at the net, once the 2nd setter comes into front row they go straight to position 3, the main setter moves to position one to serve.

this means the player at position 2 and 4 has to stay at where they are.
